I LOVE MY FAMILY

I love my Mom, she loves to shop

She’s not a bunny, but she can hop!

She wiggles her nose and shops for clothes

And she nibbles grass just t’make me laugh!

            (kid giggles)

I love my Dad, sometimes he’s cool

He fools around like the kids at school

At dinner he says “Sit up straight!”

“Now ev’rybody, lick your plate!”

            (family slurping)

             But they don’t seem a bit like me

             ’Cause they’re as nutty as can be!

             Still, ... I love my family!

 

I love m’Grandma, she sings songs

She taps her feet, she claps along

N’she really loves to play her gong  (gong!)

And then she sings the notes all wrong!

            (gramma’s wrong notes!)

I love m’Grandpa, he tells jokes

He laughs so hard, he almost chokes

And no one laughs, but him and me!

He makes sounds like a chimpanzee!

            (grandpa’s chimp laugh)

He never takes me when he goes

I love my Sister, she’s a pest

She never lets a subject rest

She loves to talk things through and through
